The Museu de sa Jugueta is located in the historic center of Palma in 400 square meters spread over 3 floors. In the second and third are exposed half of the antique toys from the private collection of Ton Boig Clar of over 7,000 pieces ranging from the mid-nineteenth century to the late twentieth and constitute a broad cross-section of all toys from all over the world at different times.
Contemplated can be dolls, ships, doll houses, cars, cardboard horses, cribs, children's theaters, bicycles and tricycles in perfect condition, table toys, footballs, pedal cars, etc. A selection of 3,000 toys on display permanently, although the content of the exhibition will change due to the large number of pieces housed in this private collection, part of which could be seen during some years in the building Can Planas, in Sa Pobla .
This large and nostalgic collection originates from the 50 toys which the owner of the museum bought almost forty years ago from a Catalan toy shop that was closing and wanted to get rid of surplus equipment.
The museum is part of a multifunctional space where on the ground floor there is a hall for temporary exhibitions and a small shop to purchase reproductions of antique toys. It also has a bar and restaurant open from noon.
