From 1947 to 1985 this building worked under the name of Principal Theater with a project of the illustrious architect and town planner, Gabriel Alomar. In 1990 the Town Council of Capdepera purchased the building commissioning the refurbishment to the architect, José García Ruiz. The new theater was inaugurated in 2001 and since then it holds all kinds of performances.
