The Fundació Coll Bardolet presents this retrospective exhibition of the Mallorcan artist Caty Fiol Enseñat (1941), with a prolific career and mastery of techniques such as oil, engraving and watercolour.
Caty Fiol: from Mallorca to Italy is a walk through some of the works that reaffirm the artist as a reference for magical realism in the Balearic Islands, offering a selection of pieces that combine symbolism and everyday life.
It also presents a small sample of her extensive production in engraving, where technical precision is combined with great narrative force and where her ability to fuse tradition and experimentation is evident.
In addition, it includes works never before exhibited, such as Marina de Vall (2003), a work charged with emotion created after the loss of a child.
