Echoes of Form is the title of the first solo exhibition at Pelaires by Swiss artist Albrecht Schnider (Lucerne, 1958). It draws on the key themes of his work: exploration of form, perception, and the interplay between spontaneity and structure.
Echoes suggests the iterative process in his practice, where initial sketches evolve into meticulously composed paintings. Form refers to his geometric and organic abstractions, which oscillate between figure and void.
Schnider's works are part of prominent public collections, including the Kunsthaus Zurich, the Kunstmuseum Bern, the Kunstmuseum Luzern, the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts in Lausanne, the Kupferstichkabinett in Berlin, and Swarovski in Austria.
This project was carried out in collaboration with Galerie Thomas Schulte.
