Pau Cladera Marroig is the author and director of the work Revetlles, estampes de dotze festes populars mallorquines, which is presented in this concert on the occasion of the Dia de les Illes Balears.
It is a symphonic and choral suite, divided into twelve movements that correspond to twelve typical festivals of Mallorca. Between each of the movements there is a theatrical text performed by two actresses plus the director and composer of the work, who introduce each of the movements explaining the origin and history of each festival and the way in which, through music, the composer wants to convey to the spectator the feeling that is experienced in each celebration.
Tradition, culture and heritage define this newly created musical work in which some 80 people participate, including musicians and choristers.
The Aprojove orchestra and the Aprojove and Pro Música Chorus de Sóller choirs take part.
