The XLVI International Music Festival of Deià has among its guests Boris Berman, prestigious pianist, composer and pedagogue born in Moscow.
Boris Berman studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and in 1973 left the Soviet Union to emigrate to Israel and, in 1979, moved to the United States, where he has lived ever since. He has performed in more than forty countries as a soloist and has a wide repertoire that covers all styles, from the baroque to current composers.
In the Palau March, it offers a program made up of 2 impromptus op. 142, by F. Schubert; Visions fugitives, by S. Prokofiev; and 6 epigraphes antiques and Estampes, by C. Debussy.
The XLVI Deià International Music Festival is held from June 26 to October 2 with concerts at its various venues: Son Marroig (Deià), Sa Bassa Rotja (Porreres), Palau March (Palma) und Graves Foundation in Deià. This year also the Bodegas Santa Caterina (Sencelles) y la Fundació Miró Mallorca. The pianist Alfredo Oyágüez Montero is its artistic director.
