The Paco de Lucía Mallorca Festival pays tribute to Carmen Linares, who, after 40 years of career, has become a reference for the next generations of female artists. Maria Hein, a representative of the new generations and of Balearic talent, will perform alongside her as a guest artist.
Carmen Linares is a living legend of flamenco, winner of the 2022 Princess of Asturias Award and the 2023 Latin Grammy. She will offer a tribute concert to Paco de Lucía as a journey through flamenco music, Andalusian folklore and poetry.
The dramatic and folkloric essence in the verses of Federico García Lorca, Miguel Hernández, Rafael Alberti and Juan Ramón Jiménez. The memory in the music in tribute to Paco de Lucía, Enrique Morente and Mercedes Sosa.
During the gala, the 2nd Scholarship for Young Talents of the Paco de Lucía Mallorca Festival will also be presented.
