A continuation of the project “Nachleben. Painting as Conceptual Art,” this exhibition delves into the idea that painting is an ever-expanding, conceptual medium capable of absorbing and transforming images from across artistic disciplines.
Exploring how painting migrates into photography, cinema, television, and digital media, the show brings together works by artists such as Perejaume, Tracey Moffatt, Marina Abramović, Darío Villalba, and Peter Zimmermann. These artists reinterpret painting as an idea, rather than a material technique, pushing the boundaries of the genre into new visual languages.
“Nachleben” challenges viewers to reconsider what painting means today, in a world saturated with images, where visual codes overlap and shift constantly between the concrete and the abstract, the analog and the digital.
