His name is Antonio Mellado Escalona (Málaga, 1967), but everyone knows him by the stage name Zenet, who has become one of the most suggestive voices on the Spanish musical scene and a true reference, surrounded by his spectacular jazz band. He arrives in Mallorca with the XVI edition of the Jazz Voyeur Festival to present his new album, La Estación del Momento.
In this new work the artist experiments with a new color palette; Without ceasing to be himself, he integrates electronics at the service of his style and his Jazz and R&B references.
Owner of a unique style and a recognizable voice, he makes all the genres he addresses his own. In short, we will be able to see Zenet in its purest form with a powerful and renewed live performance. The audience at the Jazz Voyeur Festival will be able to experience first-hand the instrumental elegance of the Zenetian universe.
The Balearic artist in this concert is the Mallorcan group Pedro Rosa Cuarteto, who propose with their music to experience a magical encounter with rhythm and shared emotions. This colorful format pays homage to Brazilian culture, while identifying many elements of jazz and Afro music.
Since its inception, the Jazz Voyeur Festival has been synonymous with high quality. Its director Roberto Menéndez, passionate about this musical genre, has been in charge of putting together a program that has contributed to elevating the local music scene and has managed to bring jazz fans from all over the world to discover Mallorca.
This sixteenth edition offers five concerts from November 4 to December 15, 2023, plus a Music and Film Series and four master classes taught by the main artists that make up this year's lineup. Both the music and film series and the master classes are free of charge.
