Ainhoa Arteta and Francesc Blanco at the Alaró Classical Music Festival

The Alaró Classical Music Festival turns ten and celebrates in style: soprano Ainhoa Arteta, one of Spain's great operatic voices, closes this year's edition in the village church. 🎶✨

She is accompanied on piano by Mallorcan pianist Francesc (Xisco) Blanco, in the closing concert of Clàssical 2026, the festival's 10th edition.

🎼 The programme

A voice and piano recital spanning Italian opera and Spanish song: works by Giacomo Puccini, Mallorcan composer Matilde Escalas, Manuel de Falla, Fernando Obradors, Miquel Ortega and Joaquín Turina.

Highlights include Falla's Seven Spanish Folk Songs and Turina's Poema en forma de canciones.

🏛️ Ten years of Clàssical

Clàssical marks its 10th edition with four concerts on the Saturdays of October: Bach's Goldberg Variations, a family Peter and the Wolf with musicians from the Balearic Symphony Orchestra, Schubert's Trout Quintet and, as the finale, this recital.

While the rest of the series takes place at the Teatre d'Alaró, the closing concert moves to the parish church. The festival is supported by the Consell de Mallorca, Mallorcòpera and the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra.

ℹ️ Good to know: this is the most anticipated concert of the series, so book early and arrive in good time to find parking in the village.

✨ A great international voice in a village church. Mallorca's operatic highlight of the autumn.
