On 3 September 2026, Sa Bassa Rotja hosts an evening of chamber music as part of the Sa Bassa Rotja Cultural series, in the heart of the Pla de Mallorca. 🎶🌾

Violinist Ana Emilia Rodrigo Fuster and pianist Pau Cladera Marroig present “Uralte Melodei'n — Ancient Melodies”, a programme that looks towards memory: Nordic romanticism, German intimacy and Mallorcan composition of today.

Works by Edvard Grieg and Robert Schumann sit alongside pieces by Pau Cladera Marroig himself, among them Tirant le Blanc. A dialogue between the romantic repertoire for violin and piano and the contemporary writing of a composer from the island.

The result works as a journey through melodies that keep returning: folk themes collected by Grieg, Schumann's inner lyricism and a present-day reading of both.

The Porreres estate has become one of the Deià International Music Festival's venues beyond the Tramuntana: a sheltered space of stone and open countryside, made for chamber music and for audiences who prefer concerts in an intimate format.
