The Rhythm Nation dance school runs an open commercial dance class at Plaça Jacques Sasson, as part of the Magaluf, a place to live programme.

Commercial dance is the style you see in pop and R&B videos: direct choreography, plenty of attitude and steps that stick fast. Which is exactly why it works so well in an open class.

The Rhythm Nation team builds the routine in sections, from the simplest to the full thing, so anyone can follow whatever their starting level. At the end everyone dances it through together.

No previous experience and no partner needed: just comfortable clothes and the will to move.

🌊 Magaluf, a place to live

From 20 August to 31 October, Plaça Jacques Sasson hosts a continuous run of free activities: dance, concerts, storytelling, children's workshops and summer cinema.

It is an initiative of Calvià Town Council together with the Govern de les Illes Balears and Illes Balears Sostenibles, aimed at giving the square back to local residents and offering visitors another way to experience Magaluf.

ℹ️ Good to know: outdoor activity, free entry until the space is full. Trainers and water recommended.
