For one day the centre of Porreres turns into a huge open-air shop window. Local businesses bring their stock out onto the street and sell it at one-off prices: the perfect excuse to stroll, browse and pick up a bargain. 🎪🛍️

The Fira d'Oportunitats has been organised by the Association of Traders and Businesses of Porreres since 2010 and takes place twice a year, once in February and once in September. This is the autumn edition.

🛍️ What you will find

Shops and businesses from the village set up their stalls in the street with reduced stock: clothing, footwear, accessories, homeware, seasonal goods and local produce.

This is a village fair, the kind you walk through without rushing, with the usual shops serving customers on their own doorstep. A good chance to discover the local trade of Porreres and stop for a bite on one of the terraces in the square.

🏘️ Porreres, capital of the Pla

Porreres is one of the most commercially active towns in the Pla de Mallorca. Its calendar includes the Tuesday weekly market, the Fira d'Oportunitats in February and September, and the big Sa Fira in October, one of the oldest on the island.

The old town, with the Plaça de la Vila, the parish church of Nostra Senyora de la Consolació and its stately houses, is the natural setting for the day.

ℹ️ Good to know: a morning, open-air event. Arrive early, when there is more stock available, and park around the edge of the centre, which is closed to traffic. Signage and stallholders mostly work in Catalan and Spanish.
