On 9 September 2026, Son Marroig once again opens its terraces above the Mediterranean for one of the most distinctive evenings of the Deià International Music Festival. 🎶🌅

The duo SpaDuet — saxophonist Rodrigo Pérez Vila and pianist Alfredo Oyagüez Montero — presents “Folk and Movies”, a programme that crosses folk music from around the world with the great film scores.

📖 The programme

The first half, Folk, opens with Hau-Ting Kwan's Taiwanese Folk Song, continues with Manuel de Falla's Seven Spanish Folk Songs and closes with George Gershwin's Three Preludes.

The second half, Movies, is a journey through cinema: John Williams's Schindler's List, Nicola Piovani's Life is Beautiful, Luis Bacalov's Il Postino, Ennio Morricone's Cinema Paradiso, the Waltz from Jazz Suite No. 2 by Shostakovich and Astor Piazzolla's Oblivion and Libertango.

The estate that Archduke Ludwig Salvator turned into his retreat in the Serra de Tramuntana is now one of the most sought-after venues of the Mallorcan musical summer: stone, open sea and the light of sunset falling over the stage.
