📖 Tradition, matter and the Miró universe

In Alenades, Isabel Servera recovers artisanal palm-weaving techniques typical of eastern Mallorca. Through sculpture and installation art, the artist explores the essential bonds between the human body, raw matter, and the local territory, forging a dialogue with popular wisdom and the Mediterranean landscape.

The pieces created by the artist shape a figurative scenography reminiscent of a cave. This sheltering space surrounds and connects two distinct groups of works: the series entitled Vetleria and the Alenades themselves, shaping a living environment where craft turns into a contemporary artistic language.

🎨 An organic dialogue in Espai Zero

Isabel Servera's pieces build their own distinct habitat at Fundació Miró Mallorca by colonising Espai Zero. There, they engage in an intimate dialogue with both Joan Miró's omnipresent spirit and work, and the architecture designed to house his foundation.

The works expand through the gallery like unique mineral and botanical formations, coexisting in a symbiotic relationship with the space that invites visitors into a contemplative encounter.
