Art Palma Summer

Art Palma Contemporani organizes a new edition of l'Art Palma Summer, the event that marks the beginning of the season at the contemporary art galleries of Palma.

  • From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.: Simultaneous openings in various countries of contemporary art galleries

Description of the event

During the main day, various galleries will offer simultaneous openings with the objective of appropriating current visual languages to the citizens.

Diàleg between generations and visual languages

The exhibition purpose is characterized by the coexistence of established artists and emerging creators. The galleries have articulated projects that explore contemporary narratives using a plurality of formats and disciplines, without technical or stylistic restrictions. The public will be able to access courses that reflect the diversity of origins and trajectories of the participating authors.

Since the central event is concentrated on the day of the festival, the displays are open to the public during the summer months. The organization has planned a program of free guided visits to facilitate the analysis of the context of the works and promote the understanding of the artistic practices that define the current scene.

Institutional context

Art Palma Contemporani, an entity founded in 2004, manages this initiative as part of its annual strategy to strengthen the visual arts sector in the island. L'Art Palma Summer has a series of highlights that include Art Palma Brunch and La Nit de l'Art.

Enguany, the galenístic teixit has expanded its radius of action with the incorporation of our projects with the Art Cologne Palma and the PHOF – Mallorca PhotoFest 2026. These activities seek to generate points of collective discovery and accessible to make cultural production visible from Palma.
