Nit de Sant Joan 2026 (Muro)

Sant Joan in Muro: tradition, fire, music and popular festivities throughout almost all of June

🔥 Muro celebrates Sant Joan in style, with festivities from June 6th to 27th. The program combines culture, music, sports, children's activities, tradition, a fire run, a youth festival, and popular events.

It is one of the municipalities where Sant Joan is not limited to a single night, but becomes several weeks of activities spread across different areas of the town.

The celebration has its most special moment between June 23 and 24. The revetla will be marked by the arrival of the Canigó Flame and the correfoc in the Plaça de bous La Monumental, with several groups of dimonis and a children's group. The big day of Sant Joan will continue with the planting of gegants, xeremiers, solemn mass, ball of caparrots and concert by Tomeu Penya in the Plaça Major.

✅ Why go

Because Muro celebrates Sant Joan as a full-fledged village festival, with events throughout almost the entire month and activities for a wide variety of audiences. There's culture, music, sports, children's activities, open-air dinners, fire runs, a youth festival, and traditional events.

The central days, June 23 and 24, concentrate some of the most special moments: the Flame of Canigó, the correfoc in La Monumental, the giants, the xeremiers, the ball de caparrots and the concert of Tomeu Penya in the Plaça Major.

It's a good option if you're looking for a Sant Joan celebration with local identity, Mallorcan tradition and a popular atmosphere, far from a one-night celebration.

✖️ Things to keep in mind

The correfoc on June 23rd can draw large crowds and is celebrated with fire, sparks, noise, and demons. It's advisable to wear cotton clothing, long sleeves, closed shoes, and protect your eyes and head. If you're with small children, pets, or people sensitive to noise, it's best to keep your distance from the route.

The program is spread across different areas of Muro, so it's a good idea to check the location of each event before you go. For concerts, revetlas (street parties), and main events, it's best to arrive early, especially if you want to get a good spot in Plaça Major or Plaça de bous La Monumental.
