📖 The project
SANG is the first original-music project by Mallorcan singer and violinist Sinéad Cormican. In it she presents her own songs, where all her cultural influences converge into a distinctive repertoire.
The pieces have jazz as their main genre, but run through with the singer's Mallorcan, Irish and Cádiz roots.
The work came about through Emergeix!, a project of the Portocolom jazz festival A Jazz de Mar that offers the chance to record a unique concert live on the festival stage itself, produced by the Associació Cultural i Musical A Jazz de Mar.
🎼 Line-up
Sinéad Cormican, violin and voice · Toni Vaquer, piano · Joan Garcías, double bass · Andreu Pitarch, drums · Tomeu Garcias, trombone.
🐂 The Alcúdia bullring
The bullring in the old town is one of the festival's most distinctive venues: a stone ring that on concert nights works as an open-air amphitheatre.
ℹ️ Good to know: open-air concert lasting one hour. Online sales are not enabled: tickets at the Auditori d'Alcúdia box office.
✨ Voice, violin and Mediterranean jazz to close the festival.
