📖 The band

Smack Dab was formed in 2015 with the idea of playing new, original material within the traditional jazz quintet format.

Over their ten years together they have recorded and played with soloists of the calibre of Jesse Davis, David Kikoski, Perico Sambeat, Vincent Herring and Toni Belenguer.

They have performed at iconic Catalan venues (L'Auditori, Jamboree, Sunset, Nova Jazz Cava), at the Jazzaldia Festival in San Sebastián and, on two occasions, in New York. In 2018 they expanded the band into a big band format.

🐂 The Alcúdia bullring

The bullring in Alcúdia's old town is one of the festival's most distinctive venues: a stone ring that, on concert nights, works as an amphitheatre with surprising acoustics.

Alcúdia's jazz festival reaches its twenty-sixth edition, organised by Alcúdia Town Council, with concerts split between the Roman Theatre of Pollentia and the bullring.
