The Caragol Fair of Sant Jordi
The 24th edition of the Snail Fair will be held in Sant Jordi between May 15th and 17th. This gastronomic event, which has been bringing together thousands of people for over two decades to sample recipes featuring snails, has been a major draw for the town for over two decades.
The Palma City Council's Governing Board has declared this event of municipal public interest, recognizing its traditional character and its cultural and social value. The fair has become a firmly established fixture on Palma's festive calendar.
During the three days of the event, the Snail Fair brings together residents and visitors, as well as producers, restaurateurs and citizens around an event that stands out for its social, cultural and popular roots in the Sant Jordi neighborhood.
The Snail Fair has been held continuously since 2001, with the only interruption being in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Since then, it has become a well-established and key traditional event, promoted by neighborhood associations and social organizations in the district.
Palma City Council emphasizes that the event helps to highlight local products, with a special focus on gastronomy linked to snails and locally sourced produce.
