🌊 About the exhibition

A derelict is the vestige of a shipwreck that rests on the seabed. Nuria Mora creates hers from multiple fragments, swarms of inert remains and brilliant finds, like her own family history.

There was at the bottom of the sea is an intervention designed especially for the Casal Solleric, which colonizes it in different locations —courtyard, showcase and facade— to transform it into a stage where treasures can be discovered that connect the architecture of the building with the urban public space and its immediate surroundings: the sea.

🐚 Biennial B

The project is part of Biennal B, a cross-cutting, inclusive, and year-round program promoted by Es Baluard Museu with the aim of integrating contemporary artistic practices with crafts, science, and design. This exhibition is co-produced with Es Baluard — Museu d'Art Contemporani de Palma.

🏛️ Casal Solleric

Casal Solleric is the contemporary art center of Palma City Council, housed in a Baroque palace on Passeig del Born. Its rooms—main floor, ground floor, mezzanine, the Aljub, and the courtyard—host exhibitions by local and international artists throughout the year.
