The Soller region lives some very notable days around the Fira (grand fair) and the Firó (small fair).The Fira is celebrated in the town of Soller and involves agriculture, livestock, industry and handcraft. The Firó takes place in the port and celebrates a historic event, the victory of the sollerics over the Muslim invaders the 11th of May 1561. Every year on the second Monday of May, a representation of this historic battle between Moors and Christians, is reproduced.
