October 18 is the name day of St. Luke, patron saint of artists. To celebrate, the Majorcan association promoting art and culture Art Viu organizes a meeting (trobada) of painters, which every year takes place in a different scenario and concludes with a fellowship meal. Held on a Saturday in October.Among its curiosities features a pharmacy, from 1875, donated by Queen Isabel II of Spain during her visit to Palma in 1852, on her way to Mahon (Menorca) to supervise the construction of the fortress of La Mola.
