This spring, the Madina Mayurqa Foundation presents two special musical evenings outside the main program of the Cap Rocat Festival, expanding the festival's cultural offering while supporting emerging talent and bringing classical music to new audiences.
The concerts will take place in the spectacular Cap Rocat Concert Hall, in collaboration with the Mallorca Me Suena music initiative, known for creating intimate concerts in unique locations across the island. These concerts showcase leading musicians from Mallorca and around the world, offering audiences the opportunity to experience classical music in an extraordinary setting overlooking the Mediterranean.

Night of signature folk in an intimate format with one of the great guitarists of the genre: Martin Simpson (voice, guitar and banjo) arrives in Porreres as part of a special tour for the 50th anniversary of his debut, and is announced as the only performance in Spain. 🎸🎶
✅ Why go
Because it is a concert to really listen to: Simpson is known for a very fine and emotional live performance, with repertoire that crosses British, Irish and American tradition, and for being a world reference for acoustic guitar (including slide).
In addition, he has an enormous track record of awards and recognition (recurrent nominations at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, with several awards).
❌ To keep in mind
It is a concert with limited capacity (the auditorium has around 410 seats), so it is advisable to buy with a margin if you are interested.

Date: Saturday, May 30, 2026
Time: 21:30
Place: Auditori Municipal de Porreres
Address:Carrer d’en Cerdà, 21, 07260 Porreres

💡 Useful tip

If you want the best “room” atmosphere, arrive with a little margin to enter calmly and settle in before it starts.

Belarusian a cappella choir + contemporary mass with nods to jazz and gospel, in a beautiful downtown church
This concert is designed as a “double program” that complements each other very well.
In the first part, the Polifonica Choir (Minsk, Belarus) performs sacred and popular repertoire of its tradition, in a cappella format.
In the second part, Polifonica Choir and Art Vocal Ensemble join forces to perform Steve Dobrogosz's MISSA (1992), a very emotional choral work that mixes neoclassical language with elements of jazz and gospel.
✅ Why go
Different choral music plan: first you “travel” with voices from Belarus and then comes the most spectacular part, with the two groups together in a contemporary mass that sounds modern and very involving.
❌ To keep in mind
It is in a church, so it is advisable to arrive with room to enter calmly and choose a good place (the acoustics are part of the show).
📍 Data
Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026

✅ Why go
It is one of those “special” dates: few stops on the tour and a new repertoire, perfect if you fancy an emotional concert but with summer energy.
❌ To take into account
Ticket sales are carried out on an external platform (Rubio Produccions), so it is advisable to buy them in advance.
