Starring Bette Davis in the role of a young woman who aspires to become an actress and to triumph on stage, even if it means trampling on anyone who crosses her path, All About Eve received fourteen nominations at the Academy Awards, a record previously only equaled by Titanic, ultimately winning six.
All About Eve is part of the cycle Cinefilms organized by CineCiutat which includes twelve classics of film history in original version with subtitles in Castilian. It is held every Thursday from 24 January to 11 April.
After the screening of the film, in the 20:30 pm session, there will be a Cineforum with a symposium on Egos in showbiz. Speakers: Lourdes Erroz (member of Theatre Sans de Palma), Manel Barceló (actor), Nofre Moya (director of the Association of Filmmakers of the Balearic Islands, ACIB), Rafael Gallego (film critic) and Oriol Lafau psychiatrist (which provide expertise in the use of drama as a therapeutic resource).
