‘Bach’

The Catalan dance company Mal pelo replenishes this season the show premiered in 2004 and with a long way since then. Besides being represented on stages of Europe, United States, South America and the Middle East in 2009 its creator and performer Maria Muñoz received the National Dance Prize of the Ministry of Culture.

Bach  is the result of several years of research on the movement and stage presence. His speech is articulated through the body and the music of J. S. Bach, in particular, the preludes and fugues that make up the Well-Tempered Clavier and they are played on the piano by Glenn Gould.

A face to face of emotions between the pianist and the dancer who recreates the lightness of the notes in the score as if her body were an element of the pentagram.
