After its release in June, the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya now presents this play in the Mostra de Teatre de Manacor written and directed by Pere Riera (Canet de Mar, 1974). Barcelona tells the story of Núria and Elena (embodied by actresses Miriam Iscla and Emma Vilarasau), two women trapped in a city at war and separated by the love of a man and the destiny of a nation. The action takes place in an actual episode of the Spanish Civil War. Specifically, the three days - from March 16 to 18 in 1938 - in which the city of Barcelona was bombed by fascist troops costing the lives of over 2,500 people.
the rest of the cast is made up by Anna Moliner, Jordi Banacolocha, Pep Planas, Pepa López, Carlos Cuevas and Joan Carreras, staging by Brosa Sebastià.
