‘Biblioteca de género. Proyecto en construcción’

Within the II Festival de Miradas de Mujeres (II Festival Views of Women) Paz Alcoverro presents Gender library. Project in construction, a project/action which aims to create a library from books written by women. It is about giving visibility to literary works created by women and to offer a space for individual and collective reflection. Also to respond to the institutional policies which do not encourage parity in the world of culture in general and particularly art.

The Festival Miradas de Mujer (Views of Women) is organized by the Asociation Mujeres en las Artes Visuales (MAV) (Women in the Visual Arts) and aims to get the exposure and spread the work carried out by women in the world of art in Spain deserves. On the island they have joined the initiative, with more than fifty participants, artists, curators and lecturers.
