Casal Solleric presents Breaking the Monument, a selection of works by artists from very different contexts that, in very different ways, attack the power of pre-established images; of all those that manipulate and condition us, that limit us, that disapprove and censor us. A group of creators who work from subtlety, but also from a frontal attack and the subversion of symbols.
Curated by Santiago Olmo and Fernando Gómez de la Cuesta, and co-produced with the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea (CGAC), the exhibition Breaking the Monument shows work by artists María María Acha-Kutscher, Ana Laura Aláez, Manal Al Dowayan, Ghada Amer , Zoulikha Bouabdellah, Kimsooja, Claudia Peña Salinas, Marinella Senatore.
