The University of the Balearic Islands presents La chica que soñaba (The Girl Who Dreamed), by the company Cross Border. A participatory forum theater show in which the audience also becomes one of the factors of the representation.
The protagonist of the work dreams of robots and Maxwell's equations. But she could have dreamed of running a company. Or with driving racing cars. Or being a disc jockey at big festivals. The work raises some questions: how to choose a profession? How does gender influence this choice? What about motherhood, once we are working? The work makes us reflect on what we can do for the protagonist and ensure that she does not lose the ability to dream.
The performance of La chica que soñaba is done on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which is commemorated every February 11 to make visible the work of women who are dedicated to science.
