The Art Vocal Ensemble is starting the 2024-2025 concert season with an original programme that combines two registers, classical formality and jazz syncopation, and which is entitled Clàssic n’Jazz o la dualidad sacra. Both elements will be very present through the same common thread: sacred prose.
The concert will feature two vocal soloists with a proven track record, with a timbre very appropriate to the style: Margarita Rodríguez (soprano) and Noelia Consonni (mezzo-soprano).
Joan Pau Chaves Trio will be the group in charge of providing contrast and new colours to the musical discourse. This trio is made up of Joan Pau Chaves (piano), Steve Bergendy (bass guitar) and Jaume Ginard (drums).
The Cor Tessàlia (Barcelona), directed by Xavier García Cardona, will also be taking part, as well as the Art Vocal Ensemble, a choir and chamber orchestra, directed by Llorenç Gelabert Gual.
The programme includes Magnificat by Vivaldi, Missa Sancti Joannis De Deo by Haydn, and Little Jazz Mass by Chilcott.
