Teatro Español and Ultramarinos de Lucas co-produce this adaptation of Samuel Beckett's play Waiting for Godot, from 1952. ¿Cuándo viene Samuel? (When is Samuel coming?) It has won the Best Show Award at the FETEN 2022 Awards.
Two men wait playing next to a swing for the arrival of Samuel to celebrate a party. Mr. Professor passes by, gives them the lesson and leaves. Time passes, it does not stop passing, it never stops passing, never... And they wait for another day. What if today was already tomorrow?
From the most radical and crazy dramatic game, in ¿Cuándo viene Samuel? they wonder about that mystery that supposes the passage of time in childhood. The game is the true protagonist of this work, conceived as a permanent party waiting for the celebration of another party.
Directed by Juan Berzal, it is interpreted by Juan Berzal, Juam Monedero and Jorge Padín. Language: Spanish.
