‘En el tiempo de la bala y la salamandra’

Based on true events, the work of Colombian Vladimir Carrillo will be presented by Joan Francesc Pont, president of the Fundació Francesc Ferrer i Guardia. En el tiempo de la bala y la salamandra (In times of the bullet and the salamander) narrates the investigation which led to the conviction of drug traffickers and several paramilitaries and to filing lawsuits for criminal acts at the Colombian state and British Petroleum.

The protagonist of the story is the union leader and state oil operator Gilberto Torres, kidnapped and tortured by a narcs-paramilitary organization in collusion with powerful oil companies.
