‘Estar expuesto’

Action / installation by the artist Olimpia Velasco from Madrid, residing in Mallorca, joins along with the Casal Solleric, the II Festival Miradas de Mujeres (the II Festival Views of Woman). Her work covers different artistic languages, installation, drawing, painting, sculpture and performance.

In her works, she always parts from the same leitmotif, the play of lines and colors. Each of her pieces creates a network of lines that bind and entangle, resulting into forests of patterns.

The action by Olimpia Velasco will be held on March 9 at midnight, although the exhibition will run until 17 March.

The Festival Miradas de Mujeres (Views of Woman), organized by the Asociation Mujeres en las Artes Visuales (MAV) (Women in the Visual Arts) and aims to get the exposure and spread the work carried out by women in the world of art in Spain deserves. On the island they have joined the initiative, with more than fifty participants, artists, curators and lecturers.
