The ritual slaughtering, a deeply rooted tradition in the villages of Mallorca, is the theme this photograph exhibition of Gori Vicens addresses curated by Caramono.com.
La festa del sacrifici (the feast of sacrifice) is the result of four years documenting, through his camera, everything related to the slaughters that take place around this time of the year and in which the typical sausages of the island are made.
The images shown, twenty in all, are in two different formats and are reproduced in watercolor paper with a less polished finish. The large photographs (88X122 cm) document the process of the killings, the small (A3) reflect how sausages are made.
