With the Genesis project, the Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado (Aymorés, 1944) seeks the origins of the world and the planet we inhabit. A world that has evolved over thousands of years before being confronted with the pace of modern life.
The exhibition presents photographs of landscapes, animals and people away from the modern world: the polar regions, tropical forests and savannas, scorching deserts, mountains dominated by glaciers and lonely islands. A mosaic where nature is expressed in all its grandeur.
The photographs of Genesis aspire to reveal this beauty and represent a tribute to the fragility of a planet that we all have a duty to protect.
