The Paco de Lucía Mallorca 2023 Festival begins with this tribute to the great musician and composer from Algeciras by his nephew, the guitarist Antonio Sánchez, and the band SimfoVents Palma.
Antonio Sánchez, who accompanied Paco de Lucía on his last tours, will offer a double show. In the first part of it, he will exclusively present his new album Kavara, which includes the song A mi Paco, a bulería dedicated to his uncle.
In the second part he will offer a repertoire of songs by Paco de Lucía together with the Municipal Band of Palma SimfoVents Palma, directed by Francisco Valero-Terribas. The scores have been specially adapted for band by Toni Cuenca, and among the repertoire you can listen to mythical songs such as Entre dos aguas, Romance de valentía or Playa del Carmen.
They will be accompanied by the harmonica of Antonio Serrano, Latin Grammy Award winner, and Benji Habichuela on the cajón.
