'The importance of satellites' by Antoni Socías

The full title of the show is La importancia de los satélites (Desdoblamientos, divisiones y acumulación), The importance of satellites (Splits, divisions and accumulation). Antoni Socías uses in his shameless way the classical concept of 'work of art' promoting a systematic splitting of the object, historically regarded as unique.

His work is based on an intensive and thorough process, slowly simmered. The rhythmic time consumption is an essential part of his creative process. And in this new measure, he uses painting as evidence of existential pleasure.
