Among the parallel activities of the 52 Festival de Pollença is the screening of the film Lo imposible, with soundtrack by Fernando Velázquez (Getxo, 1976). This composer and conductor is expected to lead the Balearic Symphony Orchestra in the concert on August 10.
Lo Imposible, also the title of the soundtrack, was directed by Juan Antonio Bayona and produced at Abbey Road in London. It is built from a true story: the experience of a Spanish family in the tsunami that struck Southeast Asia in 2004.
Starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, it won five Goya Awards and the Premio Ojo Crítico de la Música Clásica( Critical Eye Award of Classical Music) in 2012.
