The Foundation Studium Aureum, directed by its founder Carles Ponseti i Verdaguer, celebrates the 2012-2013 concert season commemorating the 30 years of its existence. The first concert is entitled In memoriam and is dedicated to an emblematic work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), the Requiem in D KV 626 for soloists, for choir and orchestra.
As a novelty, the sequence 'Dies irae' will be offered in the orchestrated version by Joseph Eybler. Mozart wanted Eybler to finish the requiem rather than Süssmayr because he considered him more akin to its sensitivity.
