‘L’elisir d’amore’

The Second Lyrical Week of the Teatre Principal of Santanyí presents this comic opera in two acts with music by Gaetano Donizetti and libretto by Felice Romani. L'Elisir d'amore contains one of the most famous tenor arias of the operatic genre, A furtive Tear.

With stage direction of Eugenia Corbacho and musical direction by David Mason, the cast includes the sopranos Maia Planas and Anna Guixé, tenor Joan Carles Falcón, baritone Pere Bonet and bass-baritone Paul Lopez. They are accompanied by chamber orchestra of the Lyrical week of Santanyí, consists of eleven instrumentalists and Yoan Hereau as maestro repetiteur.

L'Elisir d'amore is a production of the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics, co-sponsored by the Department of Culture of the City of Santanyí and in collaboration with the Teatre Principal and the municipal school of music.
