This exhibition presents the most recent artistic production of Mallorcan Andreu Maimó (Felanitx, 1946), a selection of works done by the artist between 1999 and 2011 from printmaking (lithography, woodcut and etching), painting, sculpture to ceramics.
Nature is a constant theme in the work of Maimó, whose career began in 1966 by participating in the group exhibition to mark the Silver Jubilee of the Centre d'Art and Culture of Felanitx. Especially significant are his landscapes with fig trees and vines strains and imperfect forms that symbolize the passage of time.
L'obstinació de la mirada (The obstinacy of the gaze) was held as part of the Harvest Festival 2012 from Binissalem supported by the Balearic Studies Institute and the Regulatory Council of the DO Binissalem. It starts on September 21 at 20:00 pm and will be accompanied by wine tasting.
