The fourth concert of the 2016-2017 season of the Fundació Studium Aureum is dedicated to the German composer Johannes Brahms (Hamburg, 1833-Vienna, 1897), considered the most classical of Romantic composers. The concert is directed by Carles Ponseti and played by Studium Cor de Cambra and Soloists.

Contraltos: Amelia Forteza, Joana Furió, Petra Genestra, Rose-Marie Iglesias, M de Gràcia Salas, Montserrat Sobrevias.
Tenors: Antonio Aragón, Guillem Nicolau, Quico Ribas, Detlef Reshoft, Joan Serra, Santiago Torresquesana.
Basses: Joan Brunet, Guillem Cortés, Jaume Llull, Llorenç Melià, José Gabriel Serrano, Joan Carles Simólos.
Pianists: Andreu Riera and Noemi Dalmau.
The program consists of Zigeunerlieder op. 103 for choir and piano, Liebeslieder-Walzer op. 52 for chorus and piano four hands and six Hungarian dances for piano four hands: numbers 2, 4, 5, 8, 11 and 17.
The Hungarian dances is a group of 21 dances based on Hungarian themes and lasting between one and four minutes.
Half an hour before the concert, the composer Mercè Pons will offer an interesting talk about Johannes Brahms and the works to be performed.
