The raor, a characteristic fish of the Balearic waters, gives the title to this new dance show of Catalina Carrasco which is framed in a marine environment. On the stage she plays with different elements: a table-boat that is moving, different fabrics that provide the image of the sea, a tree with leaves that are photos and drawings, seaweed and flying fish. The characters are immersed in a fun and exciting journey that leads them to meet very special beings, half fish and half human.
Catalina Carrasco is the Majorcan dancer trained in schools and universities of Barcelona, Alicante, London, Reykjavik and Madrid, besides being part of groups like Gore Group Performance or Waterloo Dance Company. A labor that was recognized with the 2011 Award for Best Scenic dancer.
Llàgrimes d'un raor is part of the program of the Teatre Infantil i Juvenil de les Illes Balears (Children's Theatre Festival Youth i Balearic Islands), which takes place from November 22 to 24 in Vilafranca de Bonany. It involves a total of 19 companies, most of Mallorca, which 23 shows over three days.
In addition to theatrical productions, the festival includes in its program activities such as parades, storytelling and a grand finale on Sunday 24 with children's entertainment, games and live songs.
