‘El mag de la platja’

Summer of 1967. Four famous movie stars are working in Calvia on a project between science fiction and existential drama.

The film was shot in Portals Vells (Calvia) and starred Michael Caine, Anthony Quinn, Candice Bergen and Anna Karina. It was called The Magus, but has never been released. What has remained as a memory is the name of the beach, known ever since as Mago Beach.

Now Josep Cerdà and Josep R. A. Mendiola present El Mag de la platja, a production with staging by Assumpta Capellà and interpreted by Xavi Nunez, Maria Rossello, Xim Vidal and Aina Zuazaga.

El mag de la platja is represented in the courtyard of Centre Cultural La Misericòrdia and is part of the theater cycle Jardí Desolat, which this summer is celebrated under the motto Mallorca… i acció!
