‘Majórica’

This was one of the great successes of Mallorcan actor Xesc Forteza (1926-1999), which is now revised by Diabeticas Acceleradas on the 30th anniversary of its release. Majórica is adapted and directed by Tomeu Cañellas and the cast involves actors Pep Noguera, Lina Mira, Alexandra Palomo, Joan Manel Vadell, Mateu Berga and Maruja Alfaro, an actress who worked with the Catalan company Xesc Forteza in the original version of the play.

Set in the Mallorca of the 80s, Majórica is a comedy in a social vaudeville key in which the characters are an unemployed, two housewives, a third row flamenco dancer and a rogue scoundrel.
