This piece of poetic, documentary and object theater is based on the compositions of the boys and girls from the Bañuelos de Bureba School and Antoni Benaigas, a young Catalan teacher who arrived in this small town in the province of Burgos in 1934.
In January 1936, the students published El mar. Visión de unos niños que no lo han visto nunca, a notebook where schoolchildren, in verse format, tell how they imagine the sea, its movements and its dreams.
Benaigas then promises them that that summer he would take them to Catalonia so that they could discover the sea. A promise that he could not keep because of July 25 of that same year, the teacher was shot.
Xavier Bobés and Alberto Conejero are the authors and directors of this work, which Xavier Bobés interprets together with Sergi Torrecilla. Languages: Catalan and Spanish. Recommended age: from 14 years.
