‘Midsummer’

This romantic comedy with songs from the Scottish playwright David Greig, play with the model of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare. The music is by Gordon McIntyre, vocalist, guitarist and songwriter of the group Ballboy.

Midsummer, released in October 2012 and which now reaches Mallorca, is a co-production between the company Albena Teatre (Valencia), Teatre Tantarantana (Catalonia) and Tanttaka Teatroa (San Sebastian). Direction of Roberto Romei and musical direction of Marc Sambola, interpreted by Carles Alberola and Elena Fortuny, who sing and play live.

The work is an ode to optimism and speaks especially of the possibility of change, that things can always change which we forget sometimes, a highly recommended message for current times.
