Pablo Picasso ( Málaga , 1881 , Mougins , 1973 ) conducted in the early 30s, several series of etchings considered as the most relevant examples of the history of illustration . Standing out is La Minotauromachie , a work around which this exhibition is articulated.
La Minotauromachie, history of Guernica ( 1937 ) , condenses the whole universe of the painter from Malaga and demonstrates his ability to capture the existential angst of being. The exhibition is completed with prints belonging to the Suite Vollard , in which appears the theme of the Minotaur, mythological character which Picasso reinterprets. He gets away from the classical representation and brings it close to his personal biography.
In the cabinet of Museu Fundación Juan March there will be a rotating exhibit of Picasso’s graphic works belonging from the collection in deposit of the institution.
