Every summer, Es Baluard invites an international artist to present a thematic project at the Aljub. This year the museum wants incidor in the feminist activism recognizing the work of the Turkish artist Şükran Moral.
The exhibition is curated by Claudia Giannetti, who already directed in 2014 an important retrospective of her at the Edith Russ Haus for Media Art in Oldenburg (Germany).
This is the artist's first solo exhibition in Spain, one of the most influential figures in contemporary Turkish art. Her works and performative videos deal with issues such as the limits of gender roles and their power structures.
